Thanksgiving Recovery Workout

Healthy Lifestyle Motivation Nick Ehrlich Workout Workout Routine

Ok, so the holiday is behind us and it is time to get back into a program.

Now, if your holiday was anything like mine, you probably ate as if the world was ending today, and now you are feeling a little more like a water balloon than a person.

Good news, we can fix it.

First of all, you need to hit the gym or grab a workout in order to start getting back on track. After big holidays (or big nights of indulging), you need to start emptying out all of the energy stores you filled up with cake, pie, and junk. The best way to do this is to hit a total-body circuit that utilizes light weights, high reps, and 5-6 circuits in order to really empty out all of those energy stores and clean out all of your muscles.

Try the following circuit, completing 20 reps of each exercise and doing the circuit as many times as you can in 40 minutes;

  • Bodyweight Squats
  • Push-Ups
  • Sit-Ups
  • Alternating Lunges
  • Band Rows
  • Jumping Jacks

Make sure to use proper form to make the most of each of these exercises.

This will start to empty out and cleanse your system and will let you get back onto a healthy eating plan right afterward. The high reps will increase circulation and get the blood flowing through all of your major muscle groups, and the circuit setup and time limit will add a cardiovascular effect without having to get on a treadmill or elliptical!

Knock this circuit out today and start getting back on track!!!
