10 Minute Morning Workout

We all know exercise is important, but even a little bit can go a long way. Different studies have shown that there are any number of effective ways to exercise in order to reap the healthy benefits, so regardless of your schedule or physical constraints, there is always a way to get in some beneficial activity every day.

One of the most effective ways to start losing weight and/or establishing a healthy workout routine is to dedicate 10 minutes every morning to exercising as soon as you get out of bed. This could be putting on a pair of shoes and taking a walk or jog around the block a few times, performing a few yoga flows, or even going through a simple exercise circuit for 10 minutes before starting the rest of your day.

Just the act of getting moving for 10 minutes before you start your day can increase circulation, rev your metabolism, and help to energize you for the rest of the day! We all know how a schedule can fall apart as the day goes on, so take advantage of the opportunity to spend 10 minutes every morning doing something for yourself and get started on the right foot!

If you cannot take a 10-minute walk around the neighborhood every morning, try this simple exercise circuit to get started;

Complete 4 rounds of 15 repetitions each:

  • Jumping Jacks
  • Squats
  • Crunches
  • Hip Bridges

This circuit should not take more than a few minutes but will get your blood pumping, your muscles warmed up for the day, and your metabolism fired up first thing in the morning!

Here are some ideas to get a great quick workout;

  • Start your day with a 10-minute workout circuit
  • Take a walk around the block before you drive to work or right when you get home
  • Start your lunch break with a good stretching session for 5-10 minutes
  • Take a walk right after dinner
  • Schedule times to work out with friends instead of getting drinks or dinner

Even if you are completely swamped, it is almost impossible to not be able to find 10 minutes to get something done. Carve 10 minutes into your schedule, even when you’re super busy and push yourself to make the most of it. You’ll be glad you did!
