Easy Protein Recipes To Beat The Summer Heat

Today’s amazing and easy protein recipes to beat the summer heat are from guest blogger Eric Larocque.

Summer is in full swing and if you’re like me, you do not want to spend your evenings cooking while everyone else is soaking up the sun.  So here are a few easy protein recipes to beat that summer heat – And the good news, these recipes are easy and take less than 10 minutes to complete.  But best of all, these recipes are protein packed and diet friendly! I personally enjoyed all of these during my last contest prep.

 

Protein Popsicles:

1/2 cup of egg whites (pasteurized)

1 scoop of Eat The Bear Ice Cream Sandwich pure isolate whey protein

A splash of water

Instructions:

Buy a homemade Popsicle kit. You can find these kits at any grocery/department store. Pour mixture into Popsicle containers and freeze!  These are great to grab and go when you don’t have a lot of time in the morning.

Avocado Chocolate Protein Pudding:

2 large ripe avocados, pits and skin removed
2 scoops Eat The Bear Chocolate pure isolate whey protein

1/2 cup honey
1 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt

Instructions:

Place ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth.
Chill for a minimum of 2 hours.

 

Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Ice Cream:

1 cup non-fat cottage cheese
1/2 cup skim milk or almond milk
2-3 tbsp natural peanut butter
2 scoops Eat The Bear Chocolate Peanut Butter pure isolate whey protein
Dash of Splenda (optional)

Instructions:

Combine cottage cheese, skim milk and peanut butter in a blender.

Blend until smooth, continue to blend and add the protein powder and Splenda.

Contents should have the consistency of thin pudding.

Pour into a lidded Tupperware bowl and freeze.
